Our Youth Savings Program – S.W.A.T.

We created the S.W.A.T (savings with a twist) program to make sure teens could start participating fully in their finances. Things like investing and credit cards can seem daunting, but not with LAPFCU by your side.

Special accounts for teens

S.W.A.T Share Certificate – This mini share certificate can be opened with just $100. It’s the perfect way to start investing.

EZ Checking – This straightforward checking account can be opened by teens**.

My First VISA – A safe way to build credit, this card can be co-signed by a parent or guardian, who is given full monitoring access and card control.

Other useful tools

We also have a powerful mobile app available for download***, as well as PATROL Online Banking where teens can stay on top of their savings from anywhere.
