    Make payments to a Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union loan right from your smartphone, computer, or laptop with Quick Pay.1 No hassles, no fees, and it’s fast and secure! Quick Pay initiates payments from an account you have with LAPFCU or another financial institution.

    Simply select the loan you want to pay and choose your payment method:

    1. One-time or recurring payment from an LAPFCU account
    2. One-time or recurring Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment from another financial institution
    3. Credit or debit card from another financial institution

    In PATROL Online Banking, click Services and select Quick Pay.

    On the LAPFCU app, tap More and select Quick Pay under Other Services.

Quick Pay Terms & Conditions

Quick Pay is a service provided to you to make payments to your Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union (LAPFCU) loans.  Use of the Quick Pay service constitutes acknowledgement of and understanding and agreement to the following terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) are in effect for all transactions processed using the Quick Pay Service (“Service”). As used in these Terms and Conditions, the term “User” means the user of the Service. The terms “You” and “Your” refer to the User. The terms “Quick Pay”, “Service”, “We”, “CU”, “Our”, or “Us” refer to Quick Pay and, as applicable, those that support the Service. Transaction (“Payment”) refers to Payment transactions made using this service. “Processing Fee” refers to the fees You may be charged for using this Service. “Convenience Fee” refers to the additional fees You may be charged for having a live representative handle Your Payment. The term “Credit or Debit Card” means a U.S. issued card with the Visa, MasterCard, Discover or an ATM/Debit Card issued by or through a financial institution located in the U.S., bearing one of the aforementioned logos (“ATM/Debit card”). “Card Issuer” refers to the financial institution or entity that issued Your Credit or Debit Card.

Payments & Fees
Each Payment made through the Service is a Payment to Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union (“CU”). Available Payment methods include Credit or Debit Cards, eCheck, or Automated Clearing House (ACH) via external accounts. If applicable, You may be charged a Processing Fee for each Payment made through this Service. The Processing Fee will be disclosed to You, prior to finalizing Your Payment. You will be given the option of not proceeding with the Payment if You do not wish to pay the Processing Fee. You may also be charged a Convenience Fee each time You use this service by phone where your Payment is handled by a live representative. You have the option of choosing a different payment method if you do not wish to pay the Convenience Fee.

You may also be charged a fee in the event that your payment is returned unpaid from your External Account. You may also be subject to a late charge as disclosed in your loan agreement. Refer to the Credit Union fee schedule and your loan disclosures for the applicable fee amounts.

You understand that if there are insufficient funds available to cover Your requested Payment, or if Your Card Issuer or financial institution rejects the transaction for any reason, the Payment will be reversed and You will be liable for any associated interest and/or fees by your Card Issuer, or fees charged by your financial institution for returned ACH. You will also be liable for making alternative payment arrangements to cover the missed loan payment.

Your agreement with Your Card Issuer and/or financial institutions where You have Your account governs the use Your Credit or Debit Card and/or account and You must refer to that agreement to ascertain fees, interest, and Your rights and liabilities as a cardholder and/or account holder.

You further agree that by your use of this service you are responsible for all fees, data charges, limitations, and/ or restrictions that your financial institution and wireless service providers and/or wireless carriers may assess.

You understand that You alone are responsible for the accuracy of the information entered when logging in and when making a Payment using this Service. CU is not liable for any transactions, fees, losses, damages, etc., that result from either: (1) failed transactions; or (2) You providing inaccurate card and/or account information. You understand that You must have sufficient funds available on Your Credit or Debit Card or your external accounts at the time of transaction.

If we receive your payment prior to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on a Business Day (Processing Cut-off Time), we will process the payment on that business day.  If we receive payment after 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on a Business Day (Processing Cut-off Time), we will process payment on the following Business Day. If you make a payment on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, we will process it on the next Business Day. Payments made by Credit Card or from an internal transfer before the cut-off time will be paid the same day. Payments made via eCheck or external transfer with a verified account will be paid within three business days. Payments equal or greater than $5,000 made toward LAPFCU Credit Cards from external accounts may have a five-business day processing hold.

You understand that if You set up recurring Payments You are responsible for ensuring Your card information is up to date and that CU is not responsible for any fees or interest incurred due to Your failure to update this information.

Payment Methods

  1. Credit or Debit Card: Payment via a U.S. issued non LAPFCU card with the Visa, MasterCard or Discover logo, or your non LAPFCU Debit card. You may schedule recurring payments. Credit Cards and Real Estate loans are not eligible for payment by Credit Card.
  2. Internal Transfer: Transfer a payment from your LAPFCU account to your LAPFCU loan. You may schedule recurring payments.
  3. External Transfer: Transfer a payment from your non LAPFCU account via ACH. Ownership of your non LAPFCU account must be verified through the Service. You may schedule recurring payments.
  4. eCheck: A one-time only transfer payment from your non LAPFCU account via ACH.

Access

Access to the Service will be by means of your Online Banking credentials.  The Credit Union’s Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) Disclosure as stated in the Credit Union’s Terms and Conditions of your Account disclosures, governs the use of Online Banking and your credentials and is incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth herein.  In the event any provision in the Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) Disclosure conflicts with any provision in this Agreement, the parties agree that this Agreement shall control.

By accessing the Service, the Member will be liable for their own use of the Service, and for access and use by any and all Joint Owners or other parties that the Member has authorized to access the Service.

You understand that when you give someone your Password, you are authorizing that person to use the Service on your Account(s), and you are responsible for all transactions that person performs using the Service.  All transactions that person performs, even those transactions you did not intend or want performed, including fraudulent transactions, are authorized transactions.  If there is a joint owner on any of the Account(s), you warrant that the joint owner has consented for you to use the Service.  We will end your use of the Service if any joint owner notifies us that (i) he/she never consented to your use of the Service; (ii) the Service can no longer be operated on your instructions alone; or (iii) he/she is withdrawing consent for you to use the Service from the joint account.

Only accounts that you own should be added to this service. In the event that a Funding Account is found to have alternate owners than that of the loan, we may cancel the account or discontinue this service for that user. It is your responsibility to update your Funding Account information in the event that it changed.

To use this Service, you must adhere to the following:

  1. Be a Credit Union Member in good standing (good standing to be determined by the Credit Union in its sole and absolute discretion).
  2. Have a qualifying individual and/or business account.
  3. Be registered to use Online Banking.
  4. Maintain a valid email address with the Credit Union.
  5. Register other Financial Institution’s accounts.
  6. Ensure the accounts will accept debits and credits.
  7. Have sufficient funds in your Credit Union account, external account, or availability on your Credit Card, to complete any transfer transactions you request.
  8. Comply with these Terms and Conditions and all other requirements of the Credit Union.

Electronic Internal and External Transfers Authorization

You agree to be bound by the NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines, the Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements, and all other rules, laws or regulations, as applicable and as may be amended.  You understand and agree that the Credit Union reserves the right to verify, from time to time, the accounts you add to the Service through the use of test transfers, such as, but not limited to, pre-notifications and low value transfers to be both credited and debited to the External Account.  We may also verify External Accounts by requiring you to submit proof of ownership of said accounts, debit cards and Credit Cards.  Your failure to comply with the request and provide proof of ownership may result in indefinite suspension of your use of the Service.

If any information you provide is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, you understand, the Credit Union reserves the right to recover from you any costs or losses incurred by us as a direct or indirect result of such information, in addition to any other remedies that may be available to the Credit Union.

Cancellations

Single Payments cannot be canceled once they’ve been submitted using this Service.

Transaction Limits
CU, at our sole discretion, reserves the right to limit the maximum amount of a single Payment, limit the number of Payments in a time period, and to reject a Payment.
Refunds
No refunds of principal or processing and convenience fees once Your Payment has been submitted using this Service, unless We processed the Payment in error.

Confidentiality

We will disclose information to third parties about your account or the transfers you affect:

  1. As necessary to complete the transfer requested;
  2. To verify the existence of sufficient funds to cover any specific transfer requested upon the request of a third party;
  3. To comply with government agency or court order; or
  4. If you give us your written permission.

CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
When You use this Service, You are communicating with us electronically and You consent to receive communications from Us electronically. We may communicate with You by email or by posting notices on this website. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that We provide to You electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. When making each Payment, You are consenting to receive a confirmation of this Payment electronically to the e-mail address You have provided to Us. We will not provide paper copies of the electronic Terms and Conditions, payment confirmations and other communications for this Service.

Computer Equipment and Security Procedure

You are responsible for obtaining, installing, maintaining and operating all software, hardware or other equipment necessary for you to access and use the Service. This responsibility includes, without limitation, your utilizing up-to-date browsers and the best commercially available encryption, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and internet security software. You are also responsible for obtaining internet services via the internet service provider of your choice, for any and all fees imposed by such internet service provider and any associated communications service provider charges. You acknowledge there are security, corruption, transmission error, and access availability risks associated with using open networks such as the internet and you hereby expressly assume such risks. The Credit Union is not responsible for any errors or problems that arise from the malfunction or failure of the internet or your communications provider or related entity.

The Credit Union will use commercially reasonable security technology that will encrypt, unless otherwise noted herein, data transmitted to us from or through an unsecured network.  You agree and acknowledge that the purpose of the Security Procedure within this Agreement is for verification of data authenticity and will not be used to detect an error in the transmission or the content of a Transfer Transaction.  Further, no security procedure for the detection of such errors has been agreed upon between the Credit Union and you.  By using the Service, you agree that our Security Procedure is commercially reasonable.

You understand and agree that you are strictly responsible for establishing and maintaining security procedures that safeguard against the transmission of an unauthorized or inaccurate transfer request by you, from your computer, mobile device, or on your behalf.  Further, you understand and agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring that your Passwords and any other security devices with the Credit Union are kept confidential.

You warrant that no individual will be allowed to initiate a transfer transaction on your behalf without proper supervision and safeguards. Further, you understand and agree that you are solely responsible for being up-to-date on the risks of downloading data received by way of email, pop-up messaging, and/or the Internet.

Limitation of Liability
THE ONLINE PAYMENT SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY AND DISCLAIM LIABILITY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER DEFECTS OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS, NOR DO WE MAKE ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE ONLINE PAYMENT SERVICE, OR AS TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR CONTENT OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE, NONINFRINGEMENT, OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT THE USE OF THIS SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSABLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY APPLIES TO ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, ACTIONS, DAMAGES OR INJURY RESULTING FROM ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE; ERROR, OMISSION, INACCURACY, INTERRUPTION, DEFECT, DELAY OR INTERRUPTION IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION; COMMUNICATION LINE FAILURE; SECURITY BREACH; OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, ALTERATION OF OR USE OF INFORMATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE ONLINE PAYMENT SERVICE, OR ITS AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. CERTAIN STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR

LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CU IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSSES OR DELAYS IN TRANSMISSION OF INSTRUCTIONS ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF ANY INTERNET ACCESS SERVICE PROVIDER.

Amendment and Termination

The Credit Union may, from time to time, announce additional features and/or changes to the Service.  You understand and agree that the Credit Union may update, or make changes to, the Service without any prior notice to you. The Credit Union may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.  Further, you acknowledge that we may discontinue or terminate the Service to any member or all Members at any time for any reason.  If we do so, notice if any, will be provided as required by law. Amendment of these Terms and Conditions or termination of the Service shall not affect the Member’s liability or obligation hereunder.  Continued use of the Service will constitute acceptance of any new or amended Terms and Conditions.

Attorneys’ Fees

In any dispute between the parties arising out of the interpretation, application, or enforcement of any provision of this Agreement Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union shall be entitled to recover all of its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs whether suit be filed or not, including, without limitation, costs and attorneys’ fees related to or arising out of any arbitration proceeding, trial or appellate proceedings.

Refer to the “Electronic Services Agreement and Disclosure” section of the Credit Union’s EFT Disclosure, as stated in the Credit Union’s separate Member Account Agreement and Disclosure and contact the Credit Union at 877-695-2732.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, inducements, or conditions, express or implied, oral or written, except as herein contained.  The express terms hereof control and supersede any course of performance or usage of the trade inconsistent with any of the terms hereof.  This Agreement may be modified or amended by Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union in writing without further notice to you, unless otherwise required by law or regulation, and your usage of the System is your understanding and agreement to any such change, amendment or modification.
